Graduation Requirements

The graduation requirements handout includes all the appropriate deadlines for each academic year and a checklist you can follow to ensure that you will complete all the necessary steps for graduation. For the most current dates, please download the Graduation Checklist here.

 To File for Official Graduation:

1. Make an appointment to see your major adviser to confirm that your will satisfy your major requirements.

2. Make sure you have completed college and university requirements. This file is a PDF. Adobe Reader is required to view and print it. To convert the PDF file to HTML, use Adobe's conversion tool.
   

3. File a graduation application online with the Office of the Registrar, http://registrar.ucdavis.edu during the filing period.

   Quarter	Filing Period
   Spring 2012	2/1/12 to 4/13/12
   Summer 2012	5/14/12 to 7/6/12
   Fall  2012	6/1/12 to 10/10/12

4. File a major certification form with your major adviser by the tenth day of the quarter in which you plan to graduate. If you have completed a minor, you also must file a minor petition form and submit it to the Dean's Office.

 Register to Participate in Graduation Ceremonies:

1. If you are eligible and would like to participate in the commencement ceremony, you must register by April 18, 2012.
   Follow the registration instructions carefully and keep your confirmation receipt.
   
2. Be sure to follow the registration instructions carefully. Only students who register will be issued guest tickets for the ceremony. Commencement Ceremony will be held Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM
   
3. If you have filed a graduation application but cannot complete your requirements by the end of the quarter, drop yourself from the degree list by canceling your online graduation application. You must re-file during the filing period for the quarter in which you will satisfy graduation requirements.
