Common Threads

The Common Threads Award recognizes women who have made a remarkable and visible contribution to the enhancement of their communities. Women who have shown extraordinary participation in the community with their time and/or contributions are selected.

To honor the 2010 recipients, a luncheon and Awards Ceremony hosted by the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation and sponsored by the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at UC Davis, will be held on March 31, 2010 at the ARC Ballroom at UC Davis.

Psychiatrist-philanthropist gives $1 million for infancy studies

Dr. Robert Dorn, a Davis psychiatrist who devoted his career to understanding and treating mental health problems that originate in the earliest years of life, has given $1 million to support infant development research at UC Davis.
