Students exhibit art in Art/Science Fusion program
Students exhibit photography and a ceramic mosaic mural fusing art and science
The final student exhibition for "Photography: Bridging Art and Science," a new course taught by Terry Nathan in the Art/Science Fusion program at the University of California, Davis, will be held at the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center on the UC Davis campus beginning June 4 and continuing through June 23, 2008. The opening reception is June 5 from 3-5 p.m.
The exhibit will also feature a ceramic mosaic mural, “California’s Gold,” created by students and community members in a special Art/Science Fusion seminar entitled “Connecting Art and Science: Bringing Environmental Concepts to Life with Ceramic Mosaic.” The seminar was led by Diane Ullman and Donna Billick (co-directors of the Art/Science Fusion Program).
After the UC Davis exhibit, “California’s Gold” will travel to Washington D.C. for display in Congressman Mike Thompson’s office.
