Sophomore, Undeclared

UC Davis was one of my top choices for colleges because I like the wide variety of classes the offered at their school. Not only do they have an abundant number of majors but I love how diverse the campus is. Coming to college here I was very surprised by how big the campus was. However, I guess it was expected seeing the amount of bikes there are on campus. Something I learned after having attending Davis was that everyone has a place or community they can belong to. You will be astonished by how many diverse and unique clubs there are here.

My favorite class by far was the Freshman Seminars I took as a freshman. It will definitely be to your advantage if you take one because it is fun and very engaging. I would say you can not really go wrong with any of them. You also get to talk to the professor’s easily and if it is something you want to pursue in your career, it is to your advantage to get to know them better.

The best ways to meet people are through the many social events we have here on campus. My advice for prospective students would be to take advantage of all the opportunities you have early in your college life. It really takes you far not only through college but through life.
