Häagen-Dazs Brand Launches Bee-friendly Garden Design Competition at UC Davis December 11, 2008

Häagen-Dazs has announced a $125,000 donation to the UC Davis Department of Entomology to launch a nationwide design competition to create a one-half acre Honey Bee Haven garden at honey bee research facility at UC Davis.

UC Davis scientists receive $4 million grant to study biodiversity in Indonesia December 01, 2008

UC Davis scientists have received a five-year, $4 million grant to study fungi, bacteria, plants, insects, and vertebrates on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, a southeast Asian island threatened by the loss of biodiversity in its tropical forests.

New endowment honors brewing science emeritus professor Michael J. Lewis December 17, 2008

To recognize Dr. Michael J. Lewis, the UC Davis Department of Food Science and Technology has created a new endowed fund, named in honor of Professor Michael J. Lewis, and dedicated to supporting UC Davis brewing science students.
