Graduating class of 2021 will make a difference in the world

Congratulations to the class of 2021! The hard work and perseverance of our graduates, whether you joined us as freshmen or as transfer students, has been a wise investment in the future for you individually and collectively for society as a whole. Your UC Davis bachelor’s degree will open the doors of opportunity throughout your lives, and we expect you will make the most of those opportunities because of the values and skills you’ve cultivated here.

This Friday, June 11, we celebrate online with 1,444 UC Davis undergraduates and 75 graduate students from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CA&ES). We applaud your accomplishments, and while we aren’t having a traditional celebration right now, that does not change the fact that our graduates deserve to be honored by friends, professors, families and loved ones. We want you to make the most of this special time in your life.

We have full confidence in your future because we know how tenaciously you have worked to earn your UC Davis degree. And we are grateful for your contributions to the culture of this campus, one that is widely respected throughout the world. We especially want to acknowledge the support and encouragement of your families and friends who helped you on your journey through higher education.

Our graduates bring vision, enthusiasm, talent and intellect to the opportunities and challenges that await. We hope you carry many fond memories of your time spent at UC Davis and stay connected with us as proud alumni. Our Aggie family spans many generations with a common experience—and that’s an important part of what keeps our college strong. We look forward to watching you go out and make a difference in the world, and we have no doubt that you will. Go Aggies!
