College revamps communication efforts and wants your input.
In the world of communications at UC Davis, summer is a time for refreshing publications and planning, as well as preparing for the upcoming academic year. We took a hard look at the way our college shares information, brainstormed some new ideas, and began making changes in how we communicate our research and news.
Our communications team has significantly increased our social media presence and combined Currents, our monthly faculty and staff newsletter, with E-news, our quarterly external report for friends of the college. This new monthly newsletter, CA&ES Highlights, will spotlight stories that represent the variety of work being done within our community and throughout the world.
Next up is a refresh of our alumni magazine, Outlook. Our college is engaged in a great deal of amazing research in multiple fields of study. Our goal is to maintain a strong focus on agriculture while increasing coverage of our impactful environmental and human/social science programs. Look for a new cover, updated sections, and our popular, in-depth feature articles.
Whether you are a faculty or staff member, student, donor, an alumnus, stakeholder, or friend of the college, we want you to be a part of this process. The fact that you care about our work and want to contribute to our success makes you a valuable member of our team. We want to know your likes and dislikes and whether or not you would like to receive our publications in print, electronically—or both. Please participate in a short survey and share your opinions with our communications team.
We appreciate your feedback and thank you for your continued support of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. We are committed to sharing the great work of the college with the UC Davis community and beyond.
