Campus Resources and Communities to Support You

As you prepare for your return to UC Davis, you may require some additional assistance. The resources listed below are designed to help you with your transition back to UC Davis. The UAP Dean’s Office would be happy to help connect you with any of the resources below. Simply ask!

Academic Assistance and Tutoring Centers

If you need additional support with developing the academic competence and confidence that will empower you to succeed at UC Davis, the AATC may be for you. The AATC provides an inclusive and interactive environment where students participate in reinforcing andretaining knowledge in multi-disciplinary writing, math, and science+ through co-curricular academic services provided by both professional staff and peer tutors.

Student Success Pathways unit, including Success Coaching and Learning Strategies, PreGrad/PreLaw Advising also provide services through the AATC to help students build skills to succeed at UC Davis and beyond.

Aggie Compass Basic Needs

Many students struggle with food and housing, and there are resources on campus to help. Aggie Compass provides a space to build community and learn about basic needs resources, pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, receive CalFresh enrollment assistance and help find stable housing.

Campus Computing Account

Three to four days after receiving approval from the college Dean’s Office, activate or check on the status of your campus computing account.

Campus Communities 

A great first step towards creating a supportive circle of friends, mentors, and allies within the larger UC Davis community is to visit the Community Resource and Retention Centers across campus. The centers are welcoming spaces that both affirm and provide opportunities to explore intersecting identities.

Career Center

The Career Center is a comprehensive resource for students from the beginning stages of exploration through the internship and job search process to receive support with career advising, resume and CV writing, networking ideas and much more.

Center for Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

If you are a first-generation or low-income student, the EOP center coordinates programs, services, and events just for you to support your personal, social, and financial wellbeing. These programs include the EOP Scholars Program (formerly TRiO Scholars Program) and Special Transitional Enrichment Program (STEP).

Financial Aid

If you intend to receive financial aid or scholarships upon readmission, please review your tuition rate and connect with the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office to inquire about eligibility and next steps.

Guardian Scholars Program

The Guardian Scholars program is a resource for foster youth and former foster youth that provides holistic advising, programs, and opportunities to help students achieve their academic and personal goals as they transition to university life, graduation, and post-graduation.

Student Disability Center (SDC)

If you received accommodations when you were last enrolled at Davis, or think that you may be eligible for accommodations, it is recommended that you schedule an appointment with SDC as soon as possible. Setting up accommodations can take time, and it never hurts to inquire if you qualify.

Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS)

It is not uncommon for students to begin counseling, or reconnect with a counselor, when they return to Davis. If you have previously worked with a SHCS counselor, please contact your counselor via Health Messaging (HEM) for an appointment, as well as to address any follow-up services needed. The SCHS offers short-term 1:1 therapy appointments, as well as quarterly group counseling services.

Transfer and Reentry Center (TRC)

If you are a transfer or reentry student returning to UC Davis, connecting with the TRC can support you through your transition and provide resources to meet your needs.

Underground Scholars Program

The Underground Scholars Program supports students who have been impacted by the criminal punishment system, and strives to empower them through leadership development, community engagement, and access to specialized advising.

Veterans Success Center (VSC)

The VSC provides a welcoming space, holistic advising, and engagement opportunities within the university and Davis community to veterans and military-affiliated students.
