Tiffany Dobbyn joined UC Davis in July 2021 as a communications specialist with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences after working as a journalist for more than 17 years. She writes stories about the Departments of Food Science and Technology; Entomology and Nematology; Environmental Science and Policy; Human Ecology; Land, Air and Water Resources; Nutrition; and Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology, among others. She also writes web and social media content, press releases, marketing materials for student recruitment and engagement, scripts and development and campaign plans. Before joining UC Davis, she was a senior writer for the Capitol Morning Report, an online publication based in Sacramento that covers state government and politics. She has also previously worked as a news producer and reporter for TV news stations in Sacramento, New York, and Vermont. Tiffany earned a B.S. in broadcast journalism with a minor in meteorology from Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, VT. She is a native New Yorker and a lifelong Yankees fan. She lives in Sacramento with her husband, Sam, and their daughters Harper and Olivia.
